MEDIA HELP FOR SMALL BUSINESSES

Nanuet/NY: GMG Public Relations, Inc. has launched a new program to help businesses on a limited budget reach their target media. The program, called “Promote Yourself!” gives smaller businesses a chance to distribute a news release each month to a customized and targeted media list created just for them.

After completing a brief questionnaire, the business owner signs up for either a six month or twelve month subscription and GMG PR organizes a media list designed around the company’s target audiences. Media lists often include not only local broadcast and print contacts, but trade publications, consumer publications, freelance writers and wire services. The company then sends GMG a completed press release each month and GMG distributes it via e-mail, fax or snail-mail depending upon each media contact’s preference.

For those who need help creating their releases, there is Promote Yourself! Gold. GMG Public Relations will write releases for those who sign up for the Gold program based on material they receive each month from the client.

Signing up for the program is easy. Those interested can vist www.gmgpr.com and click on the “Promote Yourself” button in the bottom left hand corner. From there they can download the agreement which explains the different programs, complete a few simple questions and fax back the form. After that, they revisit the GMG site, click on the PayPal button and the subscription cost is charged to their credit card each month for the term they choose.

The monthly investment is just $550 for the Promote Yourself! six month and twelve month subscriptions and those who sign up for the year get the last month free. Promote Yourself! Gold is only $800 each month with the last month free for the twelve month subscription.

The first ten companies to sign up for Promote Yourself! will receive a copy of “Bulletproof News Releases” a comprehensive guide to writing your own releases. The 200 page book is no longer available through traditional bookstores and has a $25 value.

WESTCHESTER, ROCKLAND/June 2004 – Risa Hoag accepted a Silver "W" at the Advertising Club of Westchester's annual awards dinner for the design and writing of the Sidney Kimmel Foundation 2003 yearbook.
