1) GMG PR Alert Program:
Receive monthly, weekly, even daily inquiries from reporters and producers nationwide working on stories in your industry.
On a daily basis we receive hundreds of queries from reporters and producers working on every kind of story imaginable. Our clients are alerted immediately to opportunities they can benefit from; as a result we have had clients featured in stories in national publications including Fortune, USA Weekend and USA Today and numerous trade, local and regional publications as well as stories for the Asssociated Press.
We are now offering our PR Alert Program to companies who are not currently on monthly retainer.
The First Level PR Alert Program is a six month commitment at a cost of $250/month. There is no way for us to gauge or know how many queries might be posted in your industry during that time period. It could be none, one or 30. However, on average our clients are appropriate for 12 – 15 queries during a six month time period. Some industries, such as medicine and health care, typically receive more queries than others.
For the monthly fee you will receive each query through e-mail and you will need to respond directly to the reporter. Please note that not all reporters respond to all e-mails they receive about a particular story idea. The faster your respond and the more targeted (and brief) your response is, the more you increase your chances of being contacted and included in the article or on-air story.
The Second Level PR Alert Program includes GMG PR responding to the reporter on your behalf and the monthly fee is $500 regardless of whether we respond to any queries during that time period. However, we would require and review written material up front about your firm and your industry so that we could respond immediately on your behalf.
If you choose the First Level Alert Program, three months is due and payable up front and the second amount will be invoiced during the third month. If the second payment isn’t received by the first day of the 4th month, no queries will be sent until payment is received. The total due up front for the first level program is $750 and the balance of $750 will be due and payable by the first day of the fourth month.
If you choose the Second Level Alert Program, three months is due and payable up front and the second amount will be invoiced during the third month. If the second payment isn’t received by the first day of the 4th month, no queries will be sent until payment is received. The total due up front for the second level program is $1,500 and the balance of $1,500 will be due and payable by the first day of the fourth month.
The GMG PR Alert Program really works. As an example, one of our clients was recently featured in USA Weekend which reaches 21.8 million households nationwide as a result of us responding immediately to a query from a reporter. Had the client purchased the same space as an ad the cost would have been approximately $150,000. Our client who was featured in Fortune thanks to responding to a reporter’s query was highlighted in a full page article that reached nearly 1,000,000 subscribers. If she purchased the space she would have paid over $60,000 for it.
The queries include top level media such as The Today Show, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Oprah and many, many others.
Monthly retainers to hire a public relations firm can start at $1,500 and go up to $10,000 and more. This service enables you to have access to the leading media at a fraction of the cost.
If you are interested, please send an e-mail to risa@gmgpr.com or call Risa Hoag at 845-627-3000.

I'm writing a story about marketing to baby boomers and I'm looking for people to talk about how companies have begun targeting boomers in their advertising. I'm looking for specific examples of ads, the percentage of advertising dollars targeting people who are aging compared to what it was, say, 10 years ago, and someone from a large company who will talk about when, why and how it began targeting boomers.

Scroll down for a special offer!
If you have always wanted to hire a public relations agency, but just didn't think you could afford it, now you can. GMG Public Relations has made targeted public relations affordable for even the start up company.
Our “Promote Yourself!” program offers companies on a limited budget a chance to target and reach the media they desire most.It is a simple and inexpensive monthly subscription program that enables you to have a media list created specifically for your company. After the list is created we will distribute one press release for you each month via personalized e-mails and/or faxes.
GMG Public Relations Inc. will create a targeted media list specifically for your company based on a simple questionnaire. The media list can include local, regional, national and even international media as well as freelance writers who cover your industry, consumer publications, on-line publications, trade publications, radio and television programs as well as top publications such as Time, Newsweek, 20/20 and The Wall Street Journal.
You provide a finished press release to us once a month and we’ll distribute that release to each media contact exactly the way they prefer to receive it. The release will have your e-mail address as the source and the media will be able to contact you directly to discuss your news if they are interested.
Fees: “Promote Yourself!” is available on a six month or annual subscription.
Total of $3,300 for 6 months ($550 each month)
Total of $6,050 for 12 months ($550 each month, and the last month is FREE!)
Our annual subscription is a fraction of what it would cost your company to hire a full time PR agency. As with all public relations activities there is never a guarantee of media placement or increased business. However, we do guarantee that your company’s press release will be sent to your customized media list each and every month.
GMG Public Relations, Inc. was established in 1991 and has placed stories with all the top media. We have received numerous awards for our work and twice received the prestigious Gannett Newspapers “Best in Show” award (beating more than 600 other entries) at a New York regional awards program. No other public relations or advertising agency has achieved this distinguished recognition in the history of the awards program.
